Eight tips to help combat skin irritations caused by face coverings

Face masks are becoming part of our everyday life as more people wear them in public places and it is now mandatory to wear them inside shops to reduce the risk of transmitting Covid-19.

However, there has been a growing trend on social media as beauty bloggers attempt to show their followers how to combat skin irritations caused by the constant wearing of face masks.

While the safety of those around us is important, face coverings have been shown to cause rashes and aggravate pre-existing conditions like eczema, due to their abrasive nature.

While conditions like acne and further breakouts can occur due to pores becoming blocked and moisture build-up caused by heavy breathing and saliva under the mask.

Here are eight pro tips to help you combat these skin conditions caused by face coverings.

1. Change your skin care routine
