How to get involved this Red Nose Day from home

Red Nose Day is back on Friday March 19, and this year it’s never felt more important to have some fun and raise money to support people living under incredibly tough situations.

This year fundraising events may look a little different, however you can still get involved from home including buying a Red Nose or exclusive Pixar t-shirt to turning on your TV and watching a night of one-off comedy specials and live music.

This year’s night of TV for Red Nose Day will see comedy special Dawn French and the cast from the Vicar of Dibley, taking on a very special lip sync challenge and an exclusive UK performance from Justin Bieber with his new single Hold On for his first British TV appearance in five years and so much more.

Ways to get involved at home

Get the UK smiling — help kickstart a wave of smiles from your home to the next. Download the poster, add your favourite joke and put it in your window. Download the poster here.

The Red Nose and Spoon Challenge — This March, The One Show’s Alex Scott and Jermaine Jenas put on their walking boots, grabbed their spoons and went head-to-head in the hope of being crowned The Red Nose and Spoon Race champions. Why not recreate the challenge at home and post your videos to social media with the hashtag #ComicRelief

A Challenge Like No Other — In February, professional racing driver and double-leg amputee, Billy Monger undertook a gruelling triathlon inspired challenge in support of Red Nose Day. You can watch every moment of Billy’s incredible journey in an hour-long documentary on Thursday March 18, at 9pm, on BBC One.
